This year’s TI10 boasts a whopping US$40,018,195 prize pool, where the winner will take home US$18,208,300. The International is Valve’s annual Dota 2 world championship tournament where the best Dota 2 teams battle it out for the title and one of the biggest prize pools in all of esports. This list also shows just how much the tournament has monetarily grown throughout the years, for Valve and the community have consistently pushed to increase the total prize money in each succeeding tournament. “We feel confident that in either instance we will have a solution that allows us to hold TI10 in Europe this year, and that we will be able to announce an updated plan in the very near future,” according to Valve.ĭespite the uncertainty around where The International will be taking place, qualifiers for the tournament, which will have a $40 million prize pool, will kick off on June 23rd as scheduled.With The International 10 only a few days away, we’ve decided to take a trip down memory lane by revisiting every team that has won the Dota 2 world championship. Dota 2’s The International tournament, one of the biggest esports competitions in the world, may no longer take place in Sweden as originally planned.
